Stop TB Online Petition

Dear Congress,

During the next legislative session please pass the Stop Tuberculosis (TB) Now Act. The bill will authorize appropriations of $485 million over two years to help fill the funding gap for the Global Plan to Stop TB, which will prevent the deaths of 14 million people over the next nine years if fully implemented. It was originally introduced by Senator Sherrod Brown in March 2006.

We value human life and understand that pathogens do not stop at national borders. In order to fund the research to protect us from disease and promote effective public health policy, we support this bill. By funding the Global Plan to Stop TB we are making a smart decision for ourselves, our nations' future, and people across the globe.
